Events

Treasure Island Marina hosts or co-hosts a number of boating adventures each year.
July always brings AQUAPALOOZA, the largest on-the-water boating party of the year. We partner with Marine Max @ Treasure Island and put on an afternoon of family boating on Shell Island with food, live entertainment, games and plenty of family fun in the sun.

November is the annual trip to Apalachicola for the Florida Seafood Festival. There is usually a convoy of boats taking the trip and enjoying a relaxing weekend in quaint and picturesque Apalachicola. Saturday usually features a delicious afternoon of cold oysters on the half shell, boiled shrimp and lively conversation!

April and May are frequent weekend trips to Shell Island and co-sponsored cookouts with our Marine Max friends.

Fishing

Treasure Island Marina is your gateway to the fine fishing year round in the Gulf of Mexico. Grouper, Snapper, Amberjack, King Mackerel, Redfish, Spanish Mackerel, Speckled Trout, Trigger Fish, Tuna, Wahoo, Ling and Mahi Mahi are just a few of the types of fish you can catch in both the Gulf and the surrounding bays.

September of each year is our annual Treasure Island Marina KING MACKEREL TOURNAMENT. This year was our 37th tournament and with a guaranteed prize payout of $25,000, it proved to be one of our biggest tournaments ever. We had 42 registered boats with a $10,000 prize for the largest King and $25,000 total prize money payout.  The crew off the “TEAM PSYCHODOCK” won First Place with a 48.8 lb king mackerel (as well as 3rd place with a 42.0 lb king) and “GAG REFLEX” won 2nd and 4th places with a 46.8 lb king and a 38.6 lb king respectively.  5th place went to “TIGHT LINES” with a 30.4 lb fish and 6th place was captured by the “GENIE” with a 30.0 lb king.  Next years tournament dates are September 28th & 29th 2012.
